Dr. Etzion is the Director, Department of Gastroenterology & Liver Diseases, Soroka University Medical Center, Beersheba, Israel. Over the past 15 years, his research career has been focused on designing and executing clinical trials in the field of chronic liver diseases and centered on the development of novel approaches for diagnosis, risk stratification, prognostication, and management of patients with chronic liver diseases such as Hepatitis B, C and D and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. He have been collaborating with Dr. Dahari on multiple studies in the field of mathematical modeling in HCV and have co-authored several peer-reviewed publications on retrospective modeling of HCV infection outcomes.
